The Ghana Climate Innovation Center a World Bank-funded programme accepted the company into its prestigious incubator program. Furthermore, the company recently came second runner-up in a sanitation challenge organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in collaboration with UNICEF-GoG.

The Beginning of our Story
2007DAS Biogas initiated its journey when Enoch, then a teacher, worked on a biogas experiment with his students. Recognizing the potential of the technology to solve waste management problems, he decided to transform this innovation into a business. Extensive research on converting waste to biogas marked the beginning of DAS Biogas.

First plants installed
2012The company began installing small biogas plants using IBC tanks and 250-liter barrels. Simultaneously, it commenced research on fixed dome biogas plants. We also focused on understanding and developing construction techniques for fixed dome biogas plants.

Fixed Dome Biogas Construction Begins
2014Commercial construction of fixed dome biogas plants began.

Registered and Incorporated
2015DAS Biogas was officially registered and constructed an on-site wastewater treatment system for Abeka Christ Congregation.

Second Wastewater Treatment Construction
2016Constructed an on-site wastewater treatment plant for the Hweehwee community.

Our First Major Project
2017-2019Constructed a 400m³ biogas plant with accessories for the Asokore Mampong Affordable Housing Project (subcontracted by Nepbio Engineering).

Became a Cohort of the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre Incubation Program
2018• Admitted to the first cohort of the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre incubation program, receiving a $21,000 award for product development. • Produced and tested the first prototype of the portable biogas plant, leading to further product development.

Started to Experience significant Growth
2020• Completed a 750m³ on-site anaerobic wastewater treatment plant at AngloGold Mine Tarkwa for an aquaculture project. • Constructed a 30m³ biogas plant for Pure and Just Company, where biogas is used for drying fruits.

Constructed One of our Biggest Plants yet
2021• Constructed a 140m³ biogas system for the Ghana Police Training School in Kumasi, with compressed biogas used for cooking. • As a consortium member with Hafepat Ghana Ltd., led the construction of a 4114m³ centralized biological wastewater treatment system at Tetrem RAP, Asanko Mine, Ashanti Region.

2022• Produced the DAS Biogas portable prefabricated biogas plant for domestic waste management and cooking gas generation. • Constructed an on-site wastewater treatment system for Asakara.
